More About Me
The balance of mind, body and spirit is a daily commitment - made possible, largely, through the support of those who are near and dear to me.
In my closest circle is George, my beloved; my mother, Inge; my children Greg, Natalie, and Alex; and our five (yes, five) four-legged, furry companions (Maizy, Chewbarka, Prissy, Yoda, and Houdini).
Other relatives, including my older sister and younger brother, and a large assortment of extended biological and chosen family, live far and wide (ex. San Francisco, Massachusetts, Munich, Cologne, Berlin, Israel, Melbourne, Sydney, etc.). These relationships are nourished in as many different ways as possible, including Skype!
Connections with colleagues are also truly essential, as they will not hesitate to draw my attention to the need to rethink, refresh, regroup - and are likely to celebrate my creative attempts to do so! I am deeply inspired by their own commitment to live lives of compassionate service and integrity.
I do not underestimate the influence of "chance encounters" with strangers, as they can have a powerful impact on my ability to balance the various aspects of my evolving identity. How often have I been fed by an unexpected, casual conversation with a stranger! I have been deeply enriched by my commitment to stay open to such potential, engaging with each person, as if with the Divine.
Along those lines, I relish opportunities for unstructured time in which to travel, to serve, explore new landscapes, and to challenge myself to connect with awe and gratitude in each moment.
The drop menus off of this page highlight my relationship to mind, body and spirit, provide information about the book I have published, and include a photo album.
